The Policevet's Legacy

Most of the men and women that have served America as a law enforcement officer have been denied recognition. Few rest in graves marking their contributions to the creation and maintenance of a lawful society. Their names unchiseled on monument and unwritten in the history of a free and orderly nation.

Many law enforcement officers live to retire in reasonable health and prosperity. A lot of cops get off the job without their families knowing who they were professionally, nor with the community knowing the person beyond the shield.

Those that suffered career ending injuries often abandoned in their youth without medical care, tribute, prayer or parade. No one flies a flag in honor of men without faces.

Those that have died in the line of duty fair much better in the American conscious than those that suffer career ending injuries or retire after decades of service.

Regardless of how they were mustered out of the service they deserve a footnote in America's history. The policevet's legacy project seeks to embrace the men and women of law enforcement by putting their names, faces and stories in the Policevet's Legacy Project.

Policevets Legacy Project - The Streets

The Streets is a grass roots campaign to remember and honor the men and women of law enforcement who died or were disabled in the performance of their duty.

The Streets is a grass roots campaign to remember and honor the men and women of law enforcement who died or were disabled in the performance of their duty. The Policevets Legacy Project asks you to have streets in your community named for the policevets that gave so much to keep them safe. We urge you to champion this cause in your hometown

The Policevet's Memorial

It is our duty to remember all that have served as a law enforcement officer. Many sites are dedicated to preserving the memories of those that have died in the line of duty. The policevet's legacy project seeks to provide a suitable memorial for all that have served.

Post your reflections and memories of your favorite departed cop.  This is a free form style that allows for professional, family or personal reflections for any law enforcement officer.

The criteria for establishing a memorial is that the person was a law enforcement officer of a municipal, county, state, federal, or DOD law enforcement or correctional agency.

Thee Online Memorial was closed due to spamming!
